Colorado Meets the Bahamas

area2eThe Venturers in Area 2E have had very busy summers with activities ranging from Philmont, white water rafting, National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT), and serving as camp staff. Some adventures even took place out of the country!

Venturing Crew 113 from Aurora, Colorado, recently traveled to the Bahamas Sea Base. “I loved it so much!” said Crew member Savannah Letson. “It was so much fun being with everyone, and on a boat in the ocean no less!”

Bahamas Sea Base is one of many High Adventure Bases, but is the only one that takes place entirely out of the country. Crew 113 spent their trek on the Catamaran “Adonai” where they sailed around the Abaco Sea in search of beautiful reefs and the perfect key lime pie. Scouts would recommend the Bahamas Sea Base to Crews in need of adventure and bonding. Jessie Brookie said, “The trip itself was amazing, but the people were who really made it exciting.” After all, Venturers are the best!
